The Welcome Center will provide you with important information about student life (accommodation, university restaurants, scholarship, jobs, health services, transport, culture, sports…), how to get free access to the internet and computers and a photocopy machine (accessible with the IZLY card)

 

THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT RECEPTION DESK :

  • Student visa renewal

  • Temporary “Summer” visa extension

  • Reduced fares for public transport

 

 1- STUDENT RESIDENCE PERMIT

A team of students is available to assist you with your student visa renewal (check that the application file is complete and that the mandatory requirements are fulfilled, transmission of your file to the authorities).

Pay attention : you must submit your visa renewal application at least two months before your current visa expires.

 

If your student residence permit (card, visa or récépissé) expires between 16 March and 15 June 2020 inclusive, it will be extended for a further 180 days with no action required on your part.

 

Documents to download :

You will complete the application form on the day that you hand in your documents.

 

2- SUMMER VISA EXTENSION :

If your residence permit or your long stay visa expires during the summer holidays (before the next academic year officially begins ), you will be required to apply for a temporary ‘summer’ visa renewal :

 

  • At the Student Welcome Center – from 29th June to 16th July 2020 (Monday to friday 9.00 AM to 12.30 AM and 1.30 PM to 4.30 PM)

  • At the Prefecture (directly into their letter box or by post) –  from 17th July to 17th August 2020 – More information : Here

 

THE LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO SUBMIT :

  • 1 photo ID (norm ISO/IEC 19794-5)

  • Copy of your passport

  • Copy of your residence permit (both sides) or long stay French visa with OFII confirmation

  • Envelope stamped 20 g with your name and address

  • School certificate 2019-20

  • Proof of your address issued within 6 months

* If you are a tenant : a bill (water, gas, electricity, internet), or home insurance, or rent receipt;

* if you are hosted : accommodation certificate signed and dated by your host, copy of his/her ID document and his/her proof of address issued within 6 months.

3- REDUCED FARES FOR THE CITY TRANSPORT NETWORK for international students

To benefit from reduced fares on the T2C bus and tram network, apply between October and February

 (until the 28th of February : Tuesday and Thursday 9am – 12am and 1pm – 5pm ; Friday 9am – 12am)

 

Bring with you:

  • Your student card

  • The copy of your ID (passport or residence permit)

  • Your last 3 bank statements

  • Your last 3 payslips (if you have them)

  • Your CAF allowance notification (if you have it)

  • Your last income tax notice (if you have it)
